World Cup of Golf Southern China

Rory Mcilroy and Graeme Mcdowell have taken a grip on this competition for Ireland. Germany South Africa and the United States are close behind which will make it a really tense last day. All the golfers enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, which was really appreciated by the Americans, as was evident by this quote from Matt Kuchar.

“I have to tell you, this is my first karaoke Thanksgiving,” said Kuchar. “We (as golfers) have a great life, but you also miss holidays such as Thanksgiving at home. But being with my wife, and my other family, those in this room, rules officials, media staff, sponsors, that spend weeks at a time on the road with us, is pretty special for us.

The strange thing is the English pairing of Ian Poulter and Justin Rose have not figured on the leaderboard at all, I thought they would be right up there with the leaders. Golf is sometimes a strange game but they would need a miracle to feature now, although they did finish strongly.

English duo Ian Poulter and Justin Rose birdied five of the last seven holes in their four-under-par 68 but they are eight shots adrift of Ireland.
