Brandt completed his superb final round of -3 under par yesterday at the Farmers Insurance Open, giving him the winning total of -6 under par.
There were quite a few guys who were close to him at the start of overtime play today, but the wind really got up, making it very difficult playing conditions, and no one could even catch Brandt to get into a play-off.
KJ Choi was the closest, he needed a birdie on the final hole, the par five 18th, but his approach shot into the wind was not accurate enough to leave him an easy chance. He two putted to ensure he had second place on his own, at -5 under, after posting a final round +4 over par 76.
Kevin Streelman captured third place at -4 under par for the tournament, a last round +2 over par 74 good enough for a decent placing.
