Peter Uihlein from America leads the True Thailand Classic after the first round at Black Mountain Golf Club in Thailand.
Peter shot an opening round -8 under par 64, which included one bogey, at the True Thailand Classic to top the leaderboard by two shots over the field.
Scotland’s Scott Jamieson and Spaniard Javier Colomo are tied in second place, those two shots off the pace at -6 under par after their first rounds of 66.
Englishmen Gary Boyd and Robert Dinwiddie, with Welshman Rhys Davies and Taiwan’s Hsieh Chi-hsien are all tied in fourth position at -5 under, all carding 67.
Australian Jason Scrivener today recorded the 11th hole-in-one of this season on the 154 yard par three third hole on his way to post level par 72, but unfortunately still along from the top at T70;
“That was the seventh hole in one of my career and the fifth in tournament play. I guess I am just lucky. I think a lot of it comes down to luck when the ball goes in the hole.”
“It was just a perfect number, 154 yards, and I hit a nice eight iron in there which was probably the first good shot of the day so for it to go in was nice.”
“We can all hit great shots to a foot or a few inches but you need the little bit extra luck for the ball to actually go in the hole.”
“The champagne will go down very nicely.”
