Jhonattan won the RBC Canadian Open with an amazing final round -8 under par 64, carding birdies on his last three holes, posting a tournament total of -12 under par.

“It’s never easy, I won on my second start as a rookie, I really thought it was going to be a little bit easier right after that.”

“But it’s been five tough years with injuries to kind of get your momentum back to win golf tournaments.”

“It’s incredible. There are a lot of emotions running through my head right now. I’m super excited. It’s incredible from where I started this year, not having full status on tour.”

“Knowing that it was going to be a really tough year, I think was a great thing for me, because it made me realize how much I loved being here and how much harder I had to work to get back here.”

Three players tied in second place at -11 under for the competition, Jon Rahm -5 under 67 today, Martin Laird, -5 under 67 and Dustin Johnson continuing his recent good form, -3 under par 69 in the final round.

Top Canadian player was the amateur Jared du Toit, who could only manage a last round -1 under par 71 to finish T9 with a -9 under total.
