M.J. Hur leads the Reignwood LPGA Classic after 54 holes at Pine Valley Golf Club in China.
MJ, from South Korea, carded a bogey free third round -6 under par 67 to lead the Reignwood LPGA Classic by just one shot at -20 under par, going into the final round tomorrow.
M.J. does not worry about the winning score, she just wants to follow her game plan. She spoke about playing alongside Brooke and Shanshan today;
“I think nobody knows about the winning score for this year, so I just want to set my goal and try to get it.”
“After that I can think about it.”
“They both are my favorite player on the tour, so I just want to enjoy the game with them.”
“Actually it’s hard to enjoy with them. Try to enjoy, yeah, that game with them.”
Brooke Henderson, of Canada, is in second place, at -19 under par because she sadly messed up the final hole today, carding par on the par five 18th, while the leader got a birdie. She still carded a good bogey free third round of -5 under par 68.
Brooke also lipped out a birdie putt on the par three 17th;
“I think when you finish like that it does give you a little bit more excitement looking forward to tomorrow.”
“Especially being the final round. Really looking forward to it.”
Shanshan Feng, the favorite from China, Mirim Lee, the defending champion from South Korea and I.K. Kim also from South Korea, all share third place at -17 under par.
Shanshan scored -4 under 69 today, Mirim posted -7 under 66, which included a bogey, and I.K. -5 under 68.
