David Horsey, from England, leads the Hero Indian Open as 1st round play was suspended due to the threat of lightning, and oncoming darkness at at DLF Golf and Country Club.
David had completed 15 first round holes at the Hero Indian Open before play was suspended, but sits on top of the leaderboard at -5 under par.
Matteo Manassero, from Italy, sits in second place with his completed round of -4 under par 68;
“I started well, which was important because I have been three weeks at home and to come back to a tough course like this, it’s never easy.”
“So the fact that I found a lot of birdies, it’s very, very positive and I’ll try to keep it that way.
“You have to be always in play, otherwise there will be a lot of high numbers and a lot of doubles. It’s very easy to lose shots on this course.”
Three players are tied in third spot, Eddie Pepperell, England, signed for a -3 under 69 completed first round, Carlos Pigem, Spain, -3 under through 16 holes and Grégory Havret, France, -3 through 12 holes.
The picture is confusing as only nine players have completed their opening rounds in New Delhi, play will resume at 0700 local time tomorrow.
