There are two ladies tied at the top of the Bank of Hope Founders Cup tournament, Stacy Lewis and Ariya Jutanugarn will take a one shot lead into the week-end.
Stacy and Ariya are still locked together after the second round of the Bank of Hope Founders Cup, both with rounds of -5 under par 67, and -13 under totals.
Stacy spoke about the pressure of playing well;
“It’s always hard to follow up a round like yesterday, so happy with the day again.”
“You still have to be patient, because on this golf course, if you try to force things you can make some big numbers.”
“You have to go make birdies. That’s the mentality. If you have a wedge in your hand, go be aggressive and make a birdie.”
“If it doesn’t feel right, if you have an awkward number, just take par and move on.”
Ariya, who is bogey free or both rounds, enjoyed her day playing alongside Stacy;
“I had so much fun playing with her today.”
“I’m not really worrying about who is going to be on the leaderboard.”
“I just really want to focus on what is under my control , just go have fun.”
They are closely followed by a group of four players at -12 under, Jeong Eun Lee -8 under 64 today, Mi Jung Hur -6 under 66, Michelle Wie -5 under 67, Vicky Hurst -5 under 67.
World #1 Lydia Ko is T40 following her -3 under 69 today, for a -7 under total.
