Chris Wood, of England, moved up on top of the Nordea Masters leaderboard on moving day at Barsebäck Golf & Country Club in Sweden.
Chris shot -5 under par 68 to lead the Nordea Masters after 54 holes with a -9 under par total.
Chris said it was nice to see some putts go in;
“It felt like quite an easy 68 for me, I was four behind JD to start with and I’ve more than closed the gap. That’s all I was looking to do today.”
“I played lovely last week at Wentworth and lost a lot of shots on the greens.”
“I’ve done some really good work over the weekend and we’re making a bit of progress.”
“It’s nice to see a few go in because that gives you a bit of momentum and a bit of confidence.”
Renato Paratore, Italy, -2 under 71 today, and Herbert Benjamin, France with -3 under 70, share second place, one shot back at -8 under par.
Renato was frustrated by errant putter, but still managed to keep himself firmly in the hunt for a maiden European Tour win.
Yesterday’s leader Jamie Donaldson slipped back recording a third round +2 over par 75, and is now three shots back at -6 under for the competition.
