Joël -4 under 68 today and Joakim, -6 under par 66 lead the BMW International Open at the half-way stage with -9 under par totals.

Joakim was happy with a 66 in the windy conditions;

“It was great out there, I had a lot of fun out there. Playing really, really good, especially from tee-to-green.”

“So I’m happy with that.”

“It’s a little bit more windy, yes. I would say the greens are a bit smaller when it’s this windy but if you’re still hitting really good shots out there, it’s scoreable.”

Joël played well in the wind, and making putts;

“I played really well, gave myself a lot of opportunities.”
“Pretty tough out there with the wind. It was very gusty, so difficult to control the ball and it was getting firmer as well.”

“So I’m really pleased with that round.”

“I’ll keep doing the job here and hitting good shots, making putts, and we’ll see where I stand on Sunday.”

Sharing third place, one shot back at -8 under par are Major champions Sergio Garcia, Spain, -2 under 70 today, and defending champion Henrik Stenson, Sweden, -3 under 69, they are joined on that score by Rikard Karlberg, Sweden with -3 under 69 today,  Richard Bland, England-3 under 69  and Thomas Detry, Belgium, -1 under 71.
It is a very tightly compacted BMW International Open leaderboard, I am looking  forward to the week-end, it should be fascinating.
