Patrick had completed 15 second round holes with a -7 under par score to top the OHL Classic at Mayakoba at -11 under par, having to stop because of the suspension of play at  El Camaleon Golf Club, in Mexico.

Patrick  is still looking for his first PGA Tour victory, he grew up in junior golf with 2011 fellow class members Jordan SpiethJustin ThomasDaniel BergerEmiliano Grillo and Xander Schauffele.

Sharing second place at -10 under par are Ricky Fowler, -4 under through 15 holes, and yesterday’s leader Patton Kizzire, -1 under today having completed ten second round holes.

Patton had some ups and downs today;

“I had a few hiccups out there, but with the wind and the rain; and with the wind and rain together; it was tough.”

“And the stop and start was tough. But I hung in there, made a few birdies there toward the end of my round and then survived that really tough rain that we had there at the end.”

Tied in third place with completed second rounds are Brian Gay, -6 under 65, and rookie Brandon Harkins, with -3 under 68 today.

Brandon is excited to see his name high on the leaderboard;

“Definitely exciting, but to be honest, I didn’t really watch any board.”

“Wasn’t quite the finish I was looking for, trading birdies and bogeys like that, but I really can’t complain in the wind like this.”
