Cydney carded a second round -5 under par 67 to lead the  Bank of Hope Founders Cup after 36 holes, by one shot at -9 under par;

Cydney played, holing out from the fairway, and putted very well;

“I played really good and made some clutch putts coming in.”

“The hole out was pretty special, any time you don’t have to putt is nice.”

“I haven’t been in this position in a long time. I won back in 2013, and wasn’t even in the lead at all that tournament.”

“Just came back and won.”

“You just have to go in attack mode, because everybody else is going to go in attack mode.”

“It has been awhile since I’ve been in the lead, so tomorrow just going to take it one shot at a time, one hole at a time.”

Four ladies are then tied in second place at -8 under par, Ariya Jutanugarn. Thailand, -4 under 68 today, Mariajo Uribe, Spain, -4 under 68, Karine Icher, France, -3 under 69 and Marina Alex, USA, -6 under 66.

Marina is hoping for good conditions tomorrow;

“If the conditions are favorable tomorrow, scores will be low, so just attack and take advantage of everything you can.”

“If that’s not the case, just adjust the game plan and play what’s in front of me.”

Lydia Ko, New Zealand, the 2016 winner, Sei Young Kim, South Korea and Brooke Henderson, Canada, all missed the cut here.

It may be St Patricks Day tomorrow, but I doubt any of the Ladies will be imbibing the Guinness.
