Inbee Park from South Korea has the 54 hole lead in the Bank of Hope Founders Cup tournament at the Wildfire Golf Club in Arizona.
Inbee, carded -9 under par 63 to lead the Bank of Hope Founders Cup with a -14 under par total;
“I got off to a great start, I was pretty much making everything I was looking at.”
“I cooled off on the back and it was pretty much boring golf, but it was nice to finish with a birdie.”
Mariajo Uribe, Spain, is close behind at -13 under par, with third round -5 under 67, proving lots of practice, and good putting leads to success;
“My caddie lives here, so we practiced a lot the advance week.”
“My putting is going well, and that’s all that matters on this golf course.”
Third place belongs to Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand, at -12 under par, signing for a third round -4 under 68.
Low round of the day went to Dame Laura Davies, England, with a magnificent bogey free third round score of -9 under 63, she shares fourth spot with Chella Choi, South Korea, -6 under 66 today, both ladies at -11 under par for the tournament.
Laura to card her lowest round on the LPGA tour since the 2005 Wendy’s Championship for Children;
“I hit a lot of fairways and that gives you a chance to get relatively close to the hole.”
“I haven’t been holing the putts, but today I did.”
“The no bogeys part for me is the biggest key because that is what has been letting me down.”
“It’s been in my mind and I know I can still play great golf, but it is all about the short game.”
