Webb carded a third round -4 under par 68 to extend his lead at the players to seven shots at The Players, with a -19 under par total, which equaled the 54 hole record for the tournament;
“I was pretty satisfied, after what happened yesterday on 17, I wanted to play a good solid hole and I did that.”
“On 18, it was a bonus to make that putt. Today was a little more survival feeling.”
“This round prepared me a good amount, today was more I’m in the lead, I’m in the last group. You have to hit shots and putts.”
“I want to approach tomorrow just like I did today. All in all, you try and repeat how you’re feeling on all four days.”
Danny Lee, New Zealand, is the nearest challenger at -12 under for the tournament, he shot -2 under 70 to claim second place.
World #1 Dustin Johnson is in third pace, albeit nine shots off the lead, Dustin carded -3 under 69 today for his -10 under par total.
For Webb not to win is unthinkable from this position.
