A -2 under par 68 third round has put Jens at the top of the Scottish Open leaderboard with a -13 under par total;
“I kept patient and it was nice to finish.”
“It was a totally different course today. The wind was blowing hard and in a different direction. Wasn’t the same course, really.”
“Feels good to have kept the good momentum going.”
“It will be a new experience leading, but really looking forward to it. Hopefully I’ll stay on top.”
Six players are then tied in second place at -12 under, Ryan Fox, New Zealand, -7 under 63 today, Scot Hend, Australia, also -7 under 63, Matt Fitzpatrick, England, -6 under 64, Marcel Siem, Germany, -5 under 65, Alexander Bjork, Sweden, –3 under 67 and Rickie Fowler from USA with a-2 under 68 third round.
Matt also spoke about the difference out on the course today;
“It’s a completely different wind from the first two days and I knew the course was going to play tough so to start with four birdies in five holes is always a great start.”
“It’s tough to call what it will take to win tomorrow because I’m in pretty early and the last tee time is very late.”
“I still think I could be three or four behind so it will require another special round tomorrow.”
Rickie knows tomorrow is going to be tough going;
“Tomorrow is going to be tough, we’ve got a pretty jam-packed leaderboard with a lot of guys within a few shots of the lead.”
“Someone is going to have to go out and earn it.”
