Bryson DeChambeau, USA, has the half-way lead at the Porsche European Open at Green Eagle Golf Courses in Germany.
Bryson shot a second round -4 under 68 to maintain his one stroke advantage at the top of the Porsche European Open leaderboard with a -10 under tournament total;
“I’m absolutely satisfied.”
“The wind made playing pretty tough out there and I was fortunate enough to hit it in the right spots, miss it in the right spots, get a couple of lucky breaks and take advantage of them when I needed to.”
“It wasn’t my best form but I got it around, shot four under and I stay in the hunt.”
“Just a little frustrating off the tee today, I thought I’d worked something out yesterday and it worked a little bit but I’ve got to go back to the range and work a little harder.”
“I left a couple out there but also made a couple of key ones so it averaged out.”
Tied in second place at -9 under par are Richard McEvoy, England, -7 under 65 today and Matthias Schwab, Austria, with a bogey free -5 under par 67 in the second round.
Matthias was happy to be in this position, and putting well;
“I was hitting it well and putted well too, made a few good putts and got up and down where I missed the greens so it’s been a good round.”
“I’m really looking forward to the weekend. It’s a really good position to be in and I’m sure it will be a great weekend for me.”
Richard is in good form, having won on the Challenge Tour last week;
“I’m flying on a bit of a cloud at the moment after winning on the Challenge Tour last week and it’s been a great first few days here so I’m very pleased.”
