There are two ladies tied at the top of the Indy Women In Tech Championship leaderboard after 36 holes at the Brickyard Crossing Gold Club. Lizette Salas, USA, has been joined by Sung Hyun Park from South Korea. Second round play was suspended at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course due to unplayable conditions. Play was eventually halted for the day at 8.22 pm local time, due to darkness. Second round will resume tomorrow.
Lizette, -3 under 69 today and Sung Hyun with her second round -9 under 63 are tied at the top of the Indy Women In Tech Championship leaderboard at the half way stage, both with -11 under par totals.
Sung Hyun described her great round as
“My best round of the year.”
“I’m going to do really well, I feel really good about my game, especially my short game, since my practice.”
“And it’s just about; it’s about the weather now, so hopefully, the weather’s good.”
Lizette said it was a different golf course today;
“This was a completely different golf course, so I had to change my mentality a little bit and just kind of — I had to forget about the 62 in a way and just go back to what I was doing.”
“And so yeah, a lot of positives.”
“Honestly, just keeping the same mentality, same aggressiveness on certain clubs and certain pins. I think it’s pretty boring for me.”
Two shots back at -9 under are Danielle Kang, USA, a bogey free -4 under 68 today, and Nasa Hataoka, Japan, with her second round score of -3 under 69.
Amy Yang, South Korea, is at -10 under for her second round, and still has eight more holes to go, currently -6 under on the round so far.
