Brooke carded a magnificent final round -7 under par 65 at Wascana Country Club in Canada to win the CP Women’s Open with a -21 under par total, a four shot winning margin;
“It’s amazing, it’s just surreal.”
“The crowds have been amazing all week. It’s a dream come true.”
“To get this for my family is really special.”
Teenager Angel Yin, USA, claimed second place at -17 under par, with a last round -4 under 68, the cold conditions not helping her;
“I think I put up a good fight. It was really hard for me in the beginning because it was just too cold for me, and my body wasn’t adjusting. I didn’t have enough clothes.”
“I didn’t think it was going to be this cold. It kind of threw us a curve ball.”
“By the back nine, I adjusted to it. I warmed myself up and was smart about how to keep myself warm throughout the whole round.”
Jennifer Song, USA, was third, her last round -5 under 67 giving her that place alone at -15 under par overall.
