Jonathan shot -8 under par 64 to lead the Made in Denmark tournament on day one by two shots;
“It’s fantastic to get off to a great start for a change, I have been playing some great golf recently but not scoring, so to get off to a low scoring start today was great.”
“It would be great for me to have a positive result this week. I had a terrible start to the season and a really positive result would give me a huge confidence boost going into the rest of the season.”
Tied in second place is home favorite Lucas Bjerregaard with a -6 under round of 66, he is joined on that score by Matt Baldwin, England, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, South Africa, Josh Geary, New Zealand, Brett Rumford, Australia and Hunter Stewart of USA.
Lucas was happy with his bogey free round;
“I was very pleased with my round today, I played okay, not great, I kind of lost the timing off the tee on last nine holes but happy to keep bogeys off the card.”
“I haven’t had the best success at Made in Denmark the previous years, so it’s nice to get started with at 66.”
