Danielle Kang, USA, wins the Buick LPGA Shanghai tournament at Qizhong Garden Golf Club in China.
Danielle carded a last round -3 under par 69 to win the Buick LPGA Shanghai event by two strokes at -13 under;
“After nine holes I had a temper tantrum.”
“Anxiety over tee balls, people might wonder what I’m doing. I actually can’t pull the trigger.”
“It has nothing to do with the result. Having to get over that last week was incredible for me. Even on the first round, one shot took me, I think, four minutes.”
“Ollie told me to go off to the side and we did. Hit the bag; do whatever you need to do to let your anger out and start a new nine.”
“That’s what I did.”
Seven ladies tied for second place at -11 under par; former World Number ones Lydia Ko, and Ariya Jutanugarn, 2018 Rolex First-Time Winners Annie Park, and Marina Alex, Sei Young Kim, Brittany Altomare, and a 17-year-old in her home country Wenbo Liu.
