Wei-Ling carded a second round -5 under par 67 to lead the Swinging Skirts by one shot at the half-way stage in China with a -9 under total, and enjoyed the support from the home crowd and a great day with her putter;
““It’s very cool. That was probably the most people I had around me, I felt a lot of support.”
“It also helped that I didn’t look around much or check the scoreboards.”
“The putting just gave me a lot of confidence, because the greens are very soft.”
“I was able to aim like straight at the pin. So overall, very happy for my putting and hitting the ball.”
First round leader Jodi Ewart-Shadoff, from England, could only post -1 under par 71 today, to occupy second place on her own at -8 under par.
Lydia Ko, New Zealand, has third position to herself at -7 under par, following a second round -6 under 66, with a great shot to a couple of feet on 17;
“Probably one of the best shots of my career.”
