Birthday girl Gaby Lopez of Mexico carded a hole in one at the par three 17th on her way to leading the Blue Bay LPGA after 54 holes at Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course in China. Birthday Girl Gabby
Gaby signed for third round -6 under par 66 to lead the Blue Bay LPGA after 54 holes with a -9 under par total, with her hole in one on seventeen and birdie on the par five 18th.
Gaby told the on course TV reporter that the hole in one was;
“Awesome, it felt great.”
World #1 Ariya Jutanugarn from Thailand was cruising along and stood on the 17th tee with a three shot lead. Gaby’s hole in one reduced that lead to one. Ariya then inexplicably put her tee on the last hole into the water, leading to a six, and a round of -1 under 71, and a -8 under total, giving her second place.
Tied in third place at -4 under are Sung Hyun Park, -5 under 67 today and Sei Young Kim, -4 under 68, both ladies from South Korea.
