“My game is in a great spot, I’m at a beautiful golf course.”

“I came here to win, and that’s what we’re going out to do tomorrow.”

“I know if I play my game and play like the way I’ve been playing, the guys from behind me are going to have to do something really, really special.”

“So I’m going to go out, stay within myself, stick to my game plan and try to extend that lead more than anything.”

Justin Rose, England, is in second place, that one shot back at -10 under after his third round -3 under 68;

“Today wasn’t perfect but my short game kept me in it, I pulled off some clutch shots too.”

“I had five birdies today, that gives you a bit of leeway to make a mistake but I think tomorrow we might see a course that isn’t as gentle as we’ve seen this week.”

“So with the course that has the ability to firm up and trickier pins, I’m preparing for all eventualities.”

“I can’t wait to see the pins in the morning and make a plan.”

Three players are then tied in third place at -7 under, Brooks Koepka and Chez Reavie, both from the USA, and both with -3 under 68 today. They are joined on that total with Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa, who carded a third round -1 under 70.

Rory McIlroy is at -6 under for the tournament, -1 under 70 today, visiting seven bunkers on the way round, and is alone in 6th spot on the leaderboard;

“It’s definitely not a golf course or a golf tournament where you can go chasing.”

“But even though I’m still a few off the lead, it’s a wonderful opportunity for me to go out there and try to add to my major tally.”

“I’ve been very pleased with how I’ve played all week. I felt for the most part today I did the right things and I need to do 18 more holes of that.”
