Brooke finished the tournament in style, a final round -1 under par 71 for a Portland Classic winning total of -14 under par, and a four shot winning margin.

Brooke joins a small list of two other back to back winners of the Portland Classic, Annika Sorenstam and Kathy Whitworth;

“They were two incredible women that did amazing things out on the golf course and in their own lives.”

“To be in the same sentence and acknowledged alongside them is very cool. I’m really excited I was able to do to this year, and maybe we’ll try for a third next year.”

“I didn’t really play my best today, but I hit good shots when I needed to and got some good breaks, too.”

“That’s always really nice.”

Stacy Lewis finished in second place at -10 under par, a last round -3 under 69 not good enough to mount a serious challenge, but was happy with her progress and her putting;

“Well, today was really nice, today, especially the first I mean 10, 12 holes I played were really good.”

“Had some awkward numbers there at the end, but really just excited about the way I played. Felt really comfortable.”

“I made some good putts when I needed to. Overall, the week was really solid and something I needed going into a major.”

Suzann Pettersen claimed third place at -9 under par, she carded a final round of even par 72.

Very sad to see Mariajo Uribe throw away a what would have been a very good placing finish, with two bogey’s and two double bogey’s in her last seven holes for a +3 over 75 today. She shared fourth place with Austin Ernst who carded a final round of +1 over 73, both ladies with -8 under totals.
