There is a tie at the top of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans leaderboard, the team of Jordan Spieth and Ryan Palmer, accompanied by Kyle Stanley with Ryan Ruffels share top spot in this team event at TPC Louisiana.

Both teams carded opening rounds of -6 under par 66 in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Jordan spoke about his bonus chip-in;
“We knew we were going to have a couple of birdie holes coming in with a wedge on 16 and obviously a par five.”
“So we figured we could keep moving up the board, It was definitely nice for it to go in. It was a nice little bonus.”
Ryan Ruffels was happy with his partner Kyle;
“I get along great with Kyle and I think our games sort of are somewhat similar.”
“He’s very calm and collected, plays very boring golf, just so consistent.”
“It’s nice to know he’s going to hit a fairway, he’s going to hit a green. That takes a lot of stress out of you.”
Four teams are tied in third place at -5 under par after rounds of 67; K.J.Choi / Charlie Wi, Two Ben’s Martin and Crane, Jonas Blixt and Cameron Smith, with Charley Hoffman and Nick Watney.
Nick spoke of his admiration for Charlie;
“It’s fun to be here again, and then to partner with Charley.”
