Second round play of the Zurich Classic was suspended due to bad weather conditions at TPC Louisiana. At the close of play for the day Bo Weekley and Hudson Swafford share the top spot on the leaderboard at -11 under par. Boo has yet to complete his second round, having only finished 15 holes. There was five hours between Hudson posting his score and the cessation of play.

Hudson has posted two bogey free rounds at TPC Louisiana, today’s was a -6 under par 66 with him finding nine of 14 fairways and 15 of 18 greens in regulation, and needing only 25 putts;
“I’ve seen this coming, I’m playing really solid golf. I’ve done a really good job of taking on trouble, and not being scared of the bunkers and taking good angles into the pins.”
“That’s what you’ve got to do on a Pete Dye course. It’s not always about having the perfect drive in the center of the fairway, but the best approach shot into the greens because it makes it tough to bend.”
“I’m just chipping well and just really rolling it nice.”
“I’m not overly surprised by this, it was just a matter of when it was going to come out.”
Boo is also currently bogey free on his uncompleted second round. He said was off to find some local food after the suspension of play today;

“I’m probably going to eat some mud bugs with my wife, some crawfish downtown, just walk around.”
“Got to see the sights here and take in the good food.”
There are currently five players tied in third place at -10 under par, among them is co-overnight leader Brendon de Jonge, who has yet to win on the PGA Tour. He completed his second round with a -2 under par 70, blaming the poor score on bad putting;
“I gave myself a lot of chances, I just didn’t make any putts.”
“Obviously, I would like to win and get the monkey off your back, but when it’s your time, it will be your time.”
Joining Brendon that -10 under par score are Jerry Kelly, through 17, Daniel Berger through 15, Jason Day through 14, and Cameron Tringale with a completed -7 under par 65 second round.
Jerry stuck in two tees as his marker, just to make sure the coming winds did not move his marker, and to make doubly certain, he paced off the distance as well;
“As long as we’re going in and I don’t have to sit here and play more shots, I’m OK with it,.’
“It’s one thing to have to come back for a putt. If the weather moves my mark , I stepped it off so I’ll put it back in the same spot tomorrow.”
All good golfing records come to an end sooner or later and for Freddie Jacobson his tally of no three putts sadly came to an end today, he three putted his first hole of the day, the 398-yard, par-4 10th.
